Privacy Policy

Errata, Inc. ("Errata", "we") runs an AI assistant that acts for the person who signs up for it. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details you give us, such as your name, email address and phone number.
- The messages you send the assistant and the replies it sends you.
- Data from accounts you choose to connect, such as your Google Calendar and Gmail.
- Records of what the assistant did for you, kept so it can continue your work.
How we use it
We use your data only to provide the assistant to you: to answer your requests, to act on them when you ask, and to keep the service running and secure. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, the assistant reads your calendar events and email, and adds calendar events or sends email when you ask it to. It uses this data only to carry out your requests.
Errata's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not let people read it, except with your consent, for security, to comply with the law, or where it is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations. We do not use it to train general AI models.
You can disconnect Google at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Errata, such as hosting, messaging and AI model providers. They process it on our behalf and under our instructions. We disclose data when the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is open. To delete your account and your data, email charles@errata.app. We delete it within 30 days.
Security
We encrypt data in transit, and we limit access to the people who run the service.
Changes
When we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date.
